We bought a new table with a top of reclaimed barn wood. We love the table, but the uneven surface presented some problems when eating or placing a drink. I ordered these mats and they are a lifesaver! They are thick enough so the underlying uneven surface is no longer a problem. They are heat resistant so no worries about heat on the surface of the table. They look very nice. These are the only placemats I use for this table. I have not had the need to wash yet, but spills wipe off easily. They are attractive and the coasters are a nice bonus to keep drinks from tipping. Excellent product!!!!!I bought these looking for something a bit more classier that those vinyl placemats. The do protect table from heat and the leather look tag dresses then up. My only complaint was that pasta sauce got on them and I took a damp cloth and dawn to it right away, the stain mostly left, but the felt fabric pilled a bit. So I am not sure how long they will last, but they weren’t expensive so I guess it’s okayFor the coasters, they make great soft foam ninja stars.Oh am I reviewing the mats? Oh, ok, they do what I bought them for, they're worth the purchase. I haven't put anything particularly hot on them yet, and crumbs aren't super easy to clean off of them, but you can shake them out. I've wiped them with a damp cloth and dish soap a few times, and they clean up and look nice on my table, so they're great for me. Since my boyfriend discovered the throwability of the coasters I've been surprised numerous times tho, do be careful.I don’t know why I never considered felt placemat before. I have a glass top dining table. I was always annoyed with meshed placemat for falling crumps and adding hot plates for hot dishes. Now all my issues are taken care. Placemats look good and classy, and easy to clean. It has been only a few weeks since the purchase, so I won’t comment on the durability but I think it will last.Bought these placemats and coasters for our new dining room table. They are a very nice quality and look great on our table!Mats are flimsy, some stains like hot sauce or ketchup don’t wipe off don’t try to scrub at all, material does not take it, starts coming apart.They look beautiful. They are thick - for a coffee cup complete protection. Something really hot use two.To wash, in the washing machine on gentle. Almost dry after spin cycle, maybe 30 minutes more. After a wash they look brand new.And the price! Perfect.Got the dark gray and love how they look on my table. Looking forward to see how they hold up.Not as luxurious as it looks. We did not want to put a plastic or glass cover over the table but still wanted to protect the table. To do this, we ditched our stemmed wine glasses and champagne flutes and bought stemless. We also bought harder to spill coffee cups.We also bought these mats which look amazing on our table. They look stylish and protect the table from heat stains. I like hot soup and when I say hot I mean hot. If I order soup in a restaurant or cafe and ask them to make it scorching hot, I will send it back if it is not scorching hot. At home, I server soup at the same temperature and these mats protected our table from the scorching soup.Style and durability. Can't ask for more.These placemats arrived quickly and are high quality. Very happy.
