I bought these for my then-boyfriend-now-husband last year for his birthday for a surprise. He LOVES these floor mats!!! They fit perfectly, look awesome, and have held up superbly. We have had the mats for 14 months now. The Jeep has become mine in the last few months and I am thoroughly enjoying these as well. It is so comforting to know that you don't have to be afraid of destroying your carpet in your car, you can just live and enjoy your car without fear! These floormats have survived multiple spilled drinks, a few leaky grocery bags, an entire bottle of Mountain Dew getting dumped in the trunk, dirty wet dogs, and many pairs of mud-caked hiking boots and trekking poles... Plus the standard summer grass clippings stuck to shoes, dried fall leaves tracked in, and road salt/chemical coated boots. They just shake off, brush off, or hose off, depending on the level of contamination. One recommendation I have for any future owner... the floor mats, especially the one in the trunk, are VERY GRIPPY. This is great when you don't want suitcases or stuff sliding all around the trunk. It is very annoying when you are trying to load anything large into the trunk as it is so grippy, YOU CANNOT SLIDE boxes, suitcases, lumber, ANYTHING across it. You must physically pick up the item, lift all the way into the position you want it in the trunk, and set it down. You cannot just put it on the edge of the trunk and slide into position. You will be very frustrated (as we have been again and again, and were during a recent IKEA trip). Alternatively, you can do what we did in the parking lot of IKEA - yank the mat out, lay it on the ground, load your items, then lay the mat on top for the ride home! The only drawback I see is that handle to access the area under the trunk where the spare sits is covered by the mat. You must lift the mat to get the handle and pull it up. I see the purpose in this - if they did a cut out around the handle, that bottle of Mountain Dew that spilled would have deifinitely found that hole and soaked down into the spare compartment. We keep extra towels for the dogs, blankets, a jacket, etc tucked around the spare so do access this compartment fairly often. I guess I would rather it be protected and a little hard to access than have a cut out that could allow fluid to flow down there. I thought I would mention it in case this was a deal breaker for anyone. Finally, the interior of the car is a very dark brown (Summit edition) and I was not sure how the black mats would look, and if my husband, who is VERY picky, would like them. He loves them and the black really does look nice.
